Miller Bourne Architects working with Chessmur Building Contractors have submitted a planning application on behalf Seaford Town Council for a replacement Club House at Seaford Head Golf Course. The municipal course regularly voted one of the top 10 in the country is set within the South Downs National Park running behind the dramatic cliffs at Seaford Head. As a response to its setting much of the building is set within the slope of the
ground and topped with a green roof and clad with timber and stone to minimize its visual impact on the landscape whilst at the same time the internal layout provides opportunities for the users to enjoy the location and views over the course.

As the result of a recent competition, Miller Bourne has been selected by Christ’s Hospital to design the school’s new Resource and Technology Centre. The School, which was founded in 1552, wanted a 21st Century flagship building to house 14 classrooms, a new state-of-the-art library/study centre and the school’s central ICT facilities. Our winning design forms the fourth side of an existing quadrangle and looks out over the school’s extensive playing fields.

Redevelopment of a former nurses’ home to provide 95 affordable apartments, with both rental and shared ownership tenancies, a community hall and extensive landscaped communal areas. Landscaped roof terraces also add to residents’ amenity areas.
Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 will be achieved with communal heating and solar pv panels contributing to the requirements.
On site, for August 2013 completion.
