  • Success for Miller Bourne at Christ’s Hospital

    As the result of a recent competition, Miller Bourne has been selected by Christ’s Hospital to design the school’s new Resource and Technology Centre. The School, which was founded in 1552, wanted a 21st Century flagship building to house 14 classrooms, a new state-of-the-art library/study centre and the school’s central ICT facilities. Our winning design forms the fourth side of an existing quadrangle and looks out over the school’s extensive playing fields.

    Pankhust Avenue – Scheme gets go ahead

    Redevelopment of a former nurses’ home to provide 105 affordable apartments, with both rental and shared ownership tenancies, a community hall and extensive landscaped communal areas. Landscaped roof terraces also add to residents’ amenity areas.

    Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 will be achieved with communal heating and solar hot water contributing to the requirements.

    Birley Centre – completed

    The Birley Centre at Eastbourne College was officially opened on 4th October by Gus Christie, Chairman of Glyndebourne Productions Ltd. The building includes an auditorium to seat 160, music teaching spaces, practice rooms and state-of-the-art recording studios.

  • Seaford Head Golf Club

    Following a design competition Miller Bourne has been appointed to design a replacement club house at Seaford Head Golf Club. The proposed design is set into the hillside to minimize its impact whilst maximizing the dramatic views out to sea and along the coast.
