Since its opening in 2015 Brighton Open Air Theatre, otherwise known as BOAT, has gone from strength to strength.
It seats 425 people in a horseshoe shaped open air, tiered, amphitheatre. Built on the site of a former bowling green over 25,000 people have visited the theatre and it is now well established as part of Brighton and Hove’s cultural landscape. In its fourth year BOAT will welcome 70 different local, national and international companies with over 140 performances.
Miller Bourne was instrumental in assisting the founding trustees design and obtain planning permission for their vision.
BOAT’s story touches the hearts of all those who hear it. It is testimony to the power of friendship and collective goodwill.
