As part of the Masterplan prepared for the College it was identified that the two of the four existing Fives courts would be used to provide a café, while the remaining two courts were to be fully refurbished.
After a successful planning and listed building application to the South Downs National Park Authority , two of the College's Fives courts have now been transformed into a lively student café, extending out onto the freshly landscaped Seconds Quad. The Quad now offers a versatile outdoor area for social gatherings, classes and events, enhancing the student experience.
The other two Fives courts have undergone a thorough refurbishment, paying homage to the rich history of Eton Fives at the College. With a vibrant new aesthetic, they will now serve as inviting spaces for both seasoned players and newcomers alike.
