Masterplan and Development Plan.
Miller Bourne began working on its Masterplan for Gordon’s School in 2014 to inform its stakeholders on its potential development locations within the site to meet the school’s future needs and requirements.
The study included the review of all the existing building stock on the site, including the educational spaces, sports facilities, boarding houses (day and residential), staff accommodation and administration premises.
A space analysis review was implemented to assess the existing uses and future potential use.
A series of design studies were produced for a number of sites to illustrate potential site development opportunities which could be considered by the school.
Gordon's School is a secondary school with academy status in West End near Woking, Surrey. It is one of 36 state boarding schools in England.
New projects developed included:
- Girls’ Day House
- Sixth Form Centre
- New Sports Centre
- New Girls Day House: ‘Bordein’
- Sixth Form Boarding House: 56 rooms with staff accommodation
- Art and Design showcase centre
